Wanna Watch?
Oh so Jeff watches Adult Swim? Well whoopy do, I have been watching that for years...anyone remember Squidville this last winter? That was pretty funny. Anyways, the network that has caputred my valuable time this summer is FX. Two shows in particular, them being Rescue Me, and Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Both shows are very very funny for different reasons all together. Resuce Me has been on for a couple of years, and I just started watching it this summer, and Dennis Leary is amazing with his role. Its very smart humor at times with some toilet humor mixed in the exact amount needed. Its story line is great because its this guy trying to cope with all these issues in life, including alcholism, post 9/11 (hes FDNY), and his dead son just to name a few. Great cast and characters. Its Always Sunny is just great low end humor, with a group of disfunctional characters who have no reguard for each other or anyone or anything else. Like a real Family Guy in the sense that they will tackle any issue and make sick fun of it, a really funny first year show. So those are my picks, only a couple episodes of each left so dont start now, go buy the DVDs suckas. Those are my two shows that have taken the place of OZ, The Sopranos, Seinfeld, and others that are either gone or in between season.........thats it.
I haven't found Dennis Leary funny in so many years. His tough guy ranting style just seems old. I've seen Rescue Me a couple of times. It seemed like a decent show but nothing I would watch on a weekly basis. Maybe I'll Netflix it someday.
