PJ Kilroy's Closed
PJ Kilroy's From what I can garner from random message board postings, PJ Kilroys was shut down about four months ago. As you can see, I haven't been getting out of the house much recently. Friday night a friend and I stumbled through BU's south campus for a little bit of reminiscing only to find the building dark and locked up. We were distraught. Serving underage kids probably did it again. This time it did it for good. Instead of ridiculously large, low priced pitchers of cheap American beer, we had to settle for a beer at An Tua Nua across the street. Probably for the better at 1:30 AM.

I'm a fan of dive bars. I despise clubs. I hate dress codes. I want to watch sports or talk politics over lots of beer. PJ's wasn't anything special but it was my type of bar. I lived in three different places that were less than a block away from Kilroys. Twice I lived directly across the street. Nights spent slaving away in the Photonics building during fall 2002 were capped off with a pitcher at the Dugout (now the Dugout Cafe, la di da) or PJ Kilroys.
